SEASON OPENER

Murray Machining & Sheds Murray Bridge Speedway begins their 2024-2025 Speedway Season this upcoming Saturday night, September 28th.

The venue has undertaken some major upgrades during the off-season in preparation for the 2025 Clearview Accessories Australian Sprintcar Championship to be held early next year from January 31st-February 1st, 2025.

In conjunction with the Murray Bridge Sporting Car Club, a new catch fence has been constructed, keeping the venue up to date with current Speedway Australia safety requirements.

Installation of VAILO LED lighting began late last season, which has also now been completed in time for the opening meeting and will make a significant improvement to visibility for competitors.

The Opening Night will see an all sections race night, including Wingless Sprints, Formula 500s, Super Sedans, Junior Sedans, Modified Sedans and V6 Sprints.

The race night will also see Round 1 of the MJS Street Stock Series take place, featuring reigning series champion Nigel Reichstein (pictured), National Title holder Nathan Thorne, along with Drew Flatman, Sam Brumfield, Phil Watson and Jason Duell.

Gates will open at 4pm, with racing starting at 4.50pm, with tickets for the event on sale now via www.speedwaytickets.com.au
