Levi Alexander raced to a new track record during the Modlites Feature event at Murray Machining & Sheds Murray Bridge Speedway on Saturday night.
Alexander would take almost 3 seconds off the mark previously held by Chris Ferguson on his way to winning the 15 lap event.
The night also featured Round 3 of the MJS Street Stock Series, with current Australian Champion Nathan Thorne taking out the feature event. With a first and a second placing during the heats, Thorne has put his competitors on notice leading up to his title defence here at MMS on February 6-7, 2026.
Wade McCarthy also had a great run in the Eastside Bearings Modified Sedans Series, claiming the Preliminary feature, before going on to also win the Main Feature event.
Joel Chadwick (Wingless Sprints), Mark Caruso (360/LS Sprintcars), Nick Hall (V6 Sprints) and Brodie Reichstein (Junior Sedans) were the other feature event winners on the night.
Racing returns to Murray Bridge Speedway on Friday, December 26th (Boxing Day) with Round 1 of Brandt Sprintcar Speedweek. 20 contracted drivers will feature in this year’s series, which includes Lockie McHugh, Brock Hallett, Jy Corbet, Grant Anderson, Marcus Dumesny and New Zealand’s Max Guilford.
