This Saturday night it will be a real interstate battle as drivers from three states contest the fourth event of the South Australian 360/LS Sprintcar season, and the third at the Murray Machining and Sheds Murray Bridge season. In all a total of 20 nominations has been received including last start winner Mark Caruso.

Joining Caruso as the local drivers to beat will be former South Australian Champion Keke Falland in his Ford powered 360ci, last start runner-up Hayden Pitt and Jack McCarthy, who has been the leading LS powered car at the previous two Murray Bridge events.

The remaining South Australian drivers includes a whole host of newcomers that are more than capable of running towards the front. 16-year-old Hilton Rowett was outstanding in his debut event late last year as he recorded a seventh placed result while Hayden Vickers just missed the podium after a great battle with McCarthy last start. After missing the previous Murray Bridge event Luke Squiers returns to action and having already finished on podium this season at Whyalla he will be another driver to watch. Port Pirie’s Bailey Heinrich, former Wingless racer Bronson Mauro, and former Formula 500 racer Simon Richards will all be making their fourth career starts while Bordertown teenagers Isla Rowett and Erin Virgin round out the South Australian based teams.

Two drivers from New South Wales will make the tow to Murray Bridge including South Australian registered Brendan Guerin, who has been in career best form in the past few months, while Ashton Mineeff will make his first appearance at Murray Bridge since the 2022/23 season. Mineeff is coming off a strong run with the open cars in Sydney where he made the A-main in the opening round of the Power Tour.

Adding to the interstate flavour will be six Victorian drivers with Colac’s Zac Rogerson and Mildura based Brett Clarke making their second starts at Murray Bridge this season. James Oliver, Thomas McDonald, David Dennison and Koby O’Shannassy complete the Victorian entries.

The format for the meeting will include hot laps, two rounds of heats and the all-important A-main.
