There will be plenty of action to look forward to at Murray Bridge Speedway this upcoming weekend.
The Saturday, January 10th meeting features the 4th and final round of the MJS Street Stock Series, which has been hotly contested so far this season with the National Title for the division being contested at our venue next month.
The State Series for the Wingless Sprints also visits the MMS circuit, with over 30 competitors entered once again.
The 360/LS Sprintcar division continues to draw excellent numbers, with a full field of 20 cars lining up this meeting.
While a few of our Junior drivers have headed over to the West to contest their National Title, a good line-up is still entered for this weekend.
Classic Hot Rods/Stock Rods will also be on track for a series of demonstration runs.
Gates open at 4pm, with racing from 5pm

State Series Resumes at Murray Bridge
By Phil Michell Motorsport Media
For the first time since November the Wingless Sprints SA State Series is set to resume this Saturday night at the Murray Machining and Sheds Murray Bridge Speedway with what was originally scheduled as Round 4 of the series. Since the opening round of the series at the Whyalla Speedway events at both Tolmer Speedway and Renmark have been either postponed or cancelled, but with warm weather predicted and a great car count for this weekend the battle for series long championship is set to move into top gear.
Round 1 winner Thomas Walkom will have his work cut out to go back-to-back with the competition including several stars who missed the opening round. Former National Champion Joel Chadwick will be chasing his fourth feature win of the season at Murray Bridge while Rylan Furler would love to capture his first Murray Bridge victory of the season having already won late last year at Mildura. Other drivers to keep an eye on this Saturday night who aren’t chasing the overall title include Jack McCarthy, who will perform double duties in both Wingless and LS Sprintcars, last start runner-up Josh Rusby, Mason Merritt, Robert Heard, Sam Martin, Melissa Crouch and Jenna Kervers.
Of the drivers who contested the opening round the closest contenders to Walkom will be Brett Ireland and Michael Spoljaric, who finished fourth and fifth at Whyalla. Round 1 runner-up Tate Cowie is out for the season having destroyed his race car in a nasty crash at the previous event at Murray Bridge while Tom Norvill is taking the night off having contested the Victorian Summer Slam Series earlier in the week. Hayden Mason, Ross Miller, Leanne Turner and Ryan Watts complete the drivers nominated for this weekend who were inside the top 10 at Whyalla.
The State Series format includes two rounds of heat races, a top 6 dash, a B-main and a 30 lap Feature event.
