2024-2025 Murray Bridge Speedway – 7/9/2024 First Practice Cancelled
Unfortunately, Murray Bridge Sporting Car Club & Motorcycle Club Inc. in conjunction with Murray Bridge Speedway have made the decision to cancel the first practice scheduled for 7 September, 2024.
The Club took on the LED lighting and catch fence upgrades to ensure the track met all safety conditions and requirements. This is at a considerable cost to the club, and so trying to save as much money as possible had hoped that more members would support the club by volunteering their time, but this has not been the case.
The mesh still needs to be attached along with the cables, lights still need to be installed and directed plus other work around the facility; but if only the regular few continue attending then the racing season gets put on hold.
Thank you to the members who have assisted with the upgrade installation, this is greatly appreciated and we hope you will continue to support the club whenever possible.
Imagine what the Club could achieve if all current Club members attended a Working Bee (over 200) compared to the 15 to 25 who do volunteer. A further decision will be made regarding the second practice closer to the day.
