It is with great disappointment that we announce the cancellation of our October Long Weekend Sprintcar meeting.
Despite an impressive $50,000 prize pool, only seven nominations were received—three 410 Sprintcars and four 360/LS Sprintcars.
Unfortunately, this number of nominations is not sufficient to provide the quality of racing expected by our spectators, sponsors and supporters. After careful consideration, event management has determined that cancelling the meeting is in the best interests of everyone involved.
A considerable amount of work and financial commitment went into planning this event, and we genuinely believed the prize money on offer would attract a strong field of competitors. Receiving only seven nominations is extremely disappointing.
We sincerely thank the seven nominated teams, along with our sponsors, officials, volunteers and supporters who committed their time and support to the meeting.
We apologise to everyone who planned to attend and share your disappointment. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of Sprintcar racing.
